On a bright Sunday morning, Imran’s close friends and family gathered at Metro Hall in downtown Toronto to Walk with Imran, and help change the world at the World Partnership Walk. Over a distance of 5k, we walked carrying a banner for IJF, with Imran’s smiling face beaming forward. As he has many times before, Imran brought together the people he loves for a good cause.
Imran’s warm spirit was truly exemplified in everyone that day, as we walked to raise funds for the Aga Khan Foundation Canada, which sponsors international development projects in the world’s most poverty-stricken areas. AKFC is unique because 100% of donations made to the World Partnership Walk go directly to its projects, and funds raised by the Walk also help AKFC to leverage additional support from major donors like the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), which multiplies the impact of every dollar raised many times over.
