The Imran Jaffer Foundation has a team called Walk with Imran at the World Partnership Walk as Imran believed in philanthropy and walked every year at the WPW. This year we have a donor who has offered to match what we raise. Come and join us and support us and walk with us. In memory of Imran's love for the game, we are excited to invite you to participate in the IJF Memorial Tournament being held at Bayview Glen Secondary School (85 Moatfield Dr., North York) on Saturday, June 22 starting at 9:00 AM.
Proceeds from the tournament will support the work of the Imran Jaffer Foundation, helping to keep scholarships at Western university and various student internships thriving. The format will be a co-ed 7-aside tournament and with 16 teams planned for. Each team will consist of 1 team captain and up to 9 additional players. Tournament day registration begins at 9:00 sharp, with games commencing at 10:00 AM. The registration fee per team is $550. Team registration and volunteering details to follow! Join us for our biggest event of the year! This will be a fun family day with live DJ, games, food, BBQ, silent auction, prizes, fun!! There will be something for everyone even if you do not play soccer! The Imran Jaffer Internships celebrate and recognize third-year students in the Geography – Urban Development Program (UDP), or 3rd or 4th-year students in the Geography-UDP/Ivey HBA program, who share similar qualities, values and interests to Imran, and will help them pursue their dreams and aspirations towards a fulfilling career in commercial real estate. These are paid summer positions. Students will receive academic pass/fail credit on their transcripts after they submit a written report about their internship experience and the companies submit a student employee performance evaluation form.
Two internships have been secured through the Imran Jaffer Foundation for our Urban Development students for the summer of 2019, with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and with Wireless DNA, both in Toronto.
